Hidden JEM is a deeply personal wine with a distinctive character to match, blending five Iberian grape varieties from secluded sites on California’s Central Coast. The inaugural 2023 vintage displays a dark, concentrated color in the glass with vivid purple hues at the rim. Aromas of brambleberry, mulberry and fruit leather anticipate trailing scents of sandalwood, graham, loam and savory peppercorn. The palate is rounded and approachable while staying heady with juicy flavors of black cherry, red currant, blackberry, mint leaf and sage, all delivered with beautiful weight and density. Lushly integrated acidity adds freshness to a long, delicious finish.
